• Creating communication and reading contents defining the constitutional values in simplest and vernacular medium: Vikas Samvad has recognized that the values laid down in the Constitution can only be integrated if the objectives, motives, and thinking contained behind them are also put before the people, especially the youth. The making of the constitution of India is led through a very intensive process evolved from the wide-ranging debates and participation. Besides, each article of the constitution was included after the concrete discussions on the concepts, principles, terms, words, arrangements, roles, and provisions participated by about 300 members in the Constituent Assembly. It has now become crucial to bring before the society, the various aspects and debates involved during constitution-making that was focused on peace, harmony, democracy, fraternity, equality, freedom, and especially the atmosphere and the circumstance under which the whole constitution was framed.

In this purview, Vikas Samvad, on the one hand, is producing the reading contents that present various aspects of the Constitution in easier way, and, on the other hand, VSS is also involved in Creating research-based material to bring before the societies the history of the Constitution, its background, and the debate of the Constituent Assembly by connecting them to the current context.

• Dialogues with various social groups and capacitating them on the constitutional values: Currently Vikas Samvad has included the contents and context of democratic and constitutional values in the activities and training conducted for focused groups (women, adolescent, youth and children) involved under various projects (Digital Democracy for Youth, Community Management of Malnutrition, Agricultural Issues, their documentation and raising the voices of the children). The efforts are not merely focused on spreading constitutional values only rather these activities are being revied through lenses of constitutional values.
• Vikas Samvad has conducted digital democracy programme in Madhya Pradesh in the year 2014 to 2016. Under this project, digital social action labs were operated to encourage the usage of digital technology by tribal and rural youths following the concept of safe usage of internet. Training and hand holding support was provided under this programme. The main idea was that with the positive use of digital technology, the community could get accurate information, using it for community monitoring and raising voices through digital and social media platforms. It is being established with a perspective of having informed participation of youths, tribal and marginalised people in local governance and accountability processes.
• At the same time, Vikas Samvad supported the Chief Electoral Officer’s Office of Punjab in conducting voter awareness campaign on Constitution based Democracy. Under this, the Chief Electoral Officer’s office has released about 28notes/articles/chapters and eight videos based on various aspects and chapters of the Constitution through social media in Punjabi/Gurumukhi language. Based on the material several rounds of quizzes were also conducted participated by 6000 people from Punjab.

Notably worthy to mention that the initiatives being taken to establish constitutional values have so far been driven by Vikas Samvad from its own resources, with the efforts to include constitutional values as a subject in the existing projects.
